HB 266/LM (BR 933) - A. Arnold

     AN ACT relating to gubernatorial power to reschedule elections during a state of emergency.
     Amend KRS 39A.100 to allow the Governor, upon the recommendation of the Secretary of State, to declare, by executive order, a different time or place for holding state elections in an election district for which a state of emergency has been declared for part or all of the election district; require that the election must be held within 20 days after the suspended or delayed election; amend KRS 117.015 to require the State Board of Elections to promulgate administrative regulations establishing a procedure for election officials to follow when an election had been suspended or delayed because of a state of emergency.
